Black Magic and Cocktails – Fun in the Newest Addition to the Edinburgh Club Scene

A very popular, and recently refurbished addition to the Edinburgh club scene are the Voodoo Rooms based in the New Town area of the city. This club doesn’t appeal to your sweaty hardcore dance fans – its ambience is squarely aimed at the more sophisticated cocktail swigging elegant set with Carribean themed nights and cabaret the order of the day. The club itself is split into 5 rooms and 3 bars each with its own individual feel. I really enjoyed the live music on offer in the Speakeasy but if you are after a meal you are well catered for in the Bar & Dining Room, or if you simply want to get down to the latest sounds then you have plenty of choice. The renovations have been tastefully handled and the club has a very distinctive feel to it – kind of Hawaii 5-O meets black magic. Whatever, its very cool. Just remember to pack your Hawaiian shirt!

No one else will be able to live up to him, he was one hell of a performer and everyone knows it. He’s untimely demise in June of 2009, devastated all of his fans and the music world truly felt it lost one of the greatest people to have ever graced the stage with their presence. During his death, he sold more albums and souvenir items than any other musician, which further establishes his place as one of the most beloved of artists, from an original Michael Jackson t-shirt to Michael Jackson buttons and mugs, fans from all over the world create souvenir things in an effort to preserve is memory. If you are a fan, there is no doubt that you have at least one of his merchandise, like a Michael Jackson t-shirt or sweat shirt. Despite the fact that he is gone, he will forever be remembered by his fans through his merchandise.
