I Took a Job Half Way Across the World

Last week my boss presented me with a very interesting opportunity for a new role in my company. I work for Sales BPO, we specialize in business proves outsourcing. Essentially, if you have a sales team and they aren’t providing you with a return on your investment you would hire a company like mine to take over all of your sales. It’s a great job and the pay is fantastic. Recently my company has started expanding into the Middle East and I have been offered a position as General Manager of our office in Pakistan. I have never been to Pakistan before, but from what I hear it is a lovely country with a lot to offer. I am currently trying to make up my mind if taking this promotion is the right career move for me. It’s a huge raise so I am very interested, but I just don’t know if I am ready to leave all my friends in the United States and go over to Pakistan for work.
My Soap Packing

I have just learned the hard way that I need to pack silica gel with my soaps. My organic soaps have paper wrapping, but when it is delivered to places with high humidity, the soaps start sticking to the paper, and some clients have just notified me of this. Since I started my business early spring, I really didn’t know what to expect, but I guess you live and then you learn. A lot of people suggested sticking a bag of silica gel inside the packaging should help, and I’m listening to them! My soaps will now be packed with a packet of these little moisture absorbers. I will also ask my customers for feedback on my packaging to further help me develop the most cost effective way to ship my soaps. I’m really happy about how many orders of soaps I’ve been getting per week. Let’s just say it’s more soap than I ever expected to make!
